As a Community Advisor, I assisted in enforcing university policy, accommodated residents with their personal and housing concerns, and I coordinated several programs and events that addressed their academic and personal needs. I was also able to  create meaningful relationships with my  residents through one-on-one interactions. Working in Housing and Residential Services at NIU helped me understand the importance of community for a college student's success.
