About Me
Hello! My name is Sarah Tipton and I am currently a graduate student of the College Student Personnel Administration program at Illinois State University. I work as the Student Government Advisor under the Student Engagement Office at Heartland Community College. I also hold a practicum in the Center for Academic and Professional Performance at Millikin University where I focus on Student Success and Exploratory Studies. Before coming to ISU, I attended Illinois Valley Community College and Northern Illinois University where I studied Cultural Anthropology and Nonprofit Organization studies and experienced being a Student Trustee, Anthropology Club President, and a Residential Advisor.  After graduating with my Bachelors, I worked as an Enrollment Services Assistant in the Office of Admission, Enrollment and Transfer Services at IVCC. Because of my higher ed. journey, my passion for learning and college student affairs grew even stronger. Now I look forward to continuing my involvement in any of my main areas of interests which include transfer services, advising, exploratory studies and student success programs.
Self-Assessments
I truly believe the key to success is knowing who you are and your values through self-discovery. That is why I included my results to two formal self-assessment tests below in addition to providing you a clearer idea of my strengths, skills, personality, values, and interests.
